How to Make Calming Lavender Spray

My Post (3).png

Lavender has been used for centuries to help anything from head pains, sleeping, preventing diseases, and to even protect against “evil spirits.” To learn more, check out this article by Healthline.com.

According to modern day studies, lavender helps reduce anxiety levels, and can help people sleep better.

For me, I spray it on my pillows and over my head each night before I go to bed. However, just using lavender spray alone doesn’t stop my anxiety from happening, but it definitely helps manage it, and helps me feel calmer!

Lavender spray is also great to keep in your car, at work, and definitely when you travel! Whenever I travel anywhere, I always spray it on my hotel bed.

Now — here’s how to make it — it’s super simple!

Step 1:

Fill Spray Bottle.jpg

Spray bottles are usually under $5. Here’s a few recommendations:

- Amber glass spray bottle from Amazon.

- Bottles and lids from Rosemary’s Garden.

Step 2:

This is one of my favorites. It has rosemary mixed in it as well. I buy it from my favorite local herbal apothecary shop called Rosemary’s Garden in Sebastopol, CA. You can also buy just regular lavender oil on their website.

Step 3:

Don’t mind the old pillow case here (it was laundry day). After I spray 2-3 times on my pillow, I will also spray 2-3 times over my head and take a few deep breaths.

Once you are out, just refill the bottle with water and lavender oil again. It will last you quite a while!
